I am new to the group, have been giving lap band a thought. I am from Columbus Ohio, 36 and type 2 diabetic on an insulin pump. I am about 100 or so pounds over weight, and it all started after going on insulin. I have been looking into this and trying to find a good Dr in Ohio.

So if anyone has one they would like to recommend, that would be great.

Well, you've definitely come to the right place. Just take your time and explore the forum thoroughly -- there is so much information here and you'll find overwhelming support for the band and for each other. It really helped me become much more comfortable with my decision. I'm sure it can help you decide as well.
