DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 25, 2013 Talk to your doctor about when it's safe because smoking not only inhibits the healing process but it also increases your risk for post surgical pneumonia and blood clots.
terrydumont46 1,954 Posted October 25, 2013 if you have quit for awhile why go back? i used to smoke almost 2 packs daily. still want a cig. once in awhile expecially when i am angry but i would never never start smoking again. my surgeon made me sign a contract saying i would never smoke . 2 Veronica68 and DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
Sharpie 3,306 Posted October 25, 2013 yes my Dr. asked me if I smoked.. he won't do the surgery if you smoke... too much risk... Like I tell my husband who is a smoker.. what is the point of trying to get healthy if you are going to ruin your health by smoking...? I used to smoke years ago and kept bronchitis and pneumonia... I hope you will find the strength to quit.. Get healthy and continue to live a good life.... 2 Veronica68 and DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
Veronica68 81 Posted October 25, 2013 I am really just repeating what others have said. You have stopped for however long, why go back? With all the damage we know smoking does, please stop. Good luck! 1 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
