Ms.Vickie 68 Posted October 24, 2013 Has anyone else has this problem? I can urinate just fine but my body no longer gives me that "need to go" feeling. So I just go empty my bladder periodically throughout the day. Told my surgeon and he said that has nothing to do with the surgery. Well Mr. DR. my pee-pee wss fine before you stranguled my stomach. So I am calling the urologist.
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 24, 2013 Were you catheterized during surgery? That could've done it.
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 24, 2013 No I was not. I think seeing a doc about it is wise, then. It's definitely normal after surgery.
PrettyThick1 1,860 Posted October 24, 2013 Yes, go see the doctor about it. I don't have to as often as I did, but I attribute that to the change in my eating and drinking habits. Not feeling the urge isn't normal after the surgery. Keep us posted. Have your gas pains gone away yet?
lilmissfooz 9 Posted October 24, 2013 Same thing has been happening to me! Haven't had the feeling of "busting" even if I don't go at all during the day so, like you, I just sit on the toilet and have a marathon weeing session hahahaha 1 Ms.Vickie reacted to this

Good thing is when the gas pain comes it does pass shortly thereafter. But my back is killing me!!! I wish I could go get a massage but I can't lay on my stomach. 1 PrettyThick1 reacted to this

cheryl2586 3,053 Posted October 24, 2013 If you are taking pain medication it can give you urinary retention or the inability to urinate or know that you have to urinate. Look up the medication you are taking and see if one of the side affects are urinary retention 1 jcrosland reacted to this
