TLL 105 Posted October 24, 2013 I have found myself recently experiencing food guilt. Not just when I cheat and have something I shouldn't, but virtually every single day. At the end of the day, no matter how well I have eaten, no matter how small my meals have been, I find myself thinking "I ate entirely too much today.", "I'm going to fail if I keep eating like this.", etc. Then I'm shocked out of my mind when I do my weekly weigh in and find I've lost a couple of pounds! haha Has anybody else experienced this after WLS? jamilyne 102668 1,207 Posted October 24, 2013 I use my fitness pal diligently. Every time I eat something I log it in and I also log in my Water & exercise. It's a big help to me also. It figures everything out for you Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
jamilyne 102668 1,207 Posted October 24, 2013 Oh - one more thing - with my fitness pal you can add food in before you eat it to see the calorie/fat content ahead of time - you might just change your mind! Then there's a delete feature so you can just remove it. It's surprising sometimes to see how many calories/fat & carbs are in done foods - there's no telling how many calories I are before getting banded!!!!!!! Lu_11 52 Posted October 24, 2013 Another great tool that has an app is called "lose It". Kinda like fitness pal so check them out to see what you like the most. I like being able to track my Protein intake.

B-52 7,113 Posted October 24, 2013 I enjoy whatever foods I wish...and what the band allows me to eat...in other words I don't feel guilty with things like chips and salsa, or ice cream etc... For me, this is not a daily, hourly diet...it is a new lifestyle..and that means I have to look at the big picture and that is, on any given day, I eat about 1/10th of what I was capable of before being banded.....add plenty of calorie burning exercise on top of that and I'm good to go.... Have to careful though...since the band only allows so much food intake, it is in my best interest to make that food choice as healthy as possible...not calorie counting.... 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
