6.5cc in 10cc band & Stoked!!

Recommended Posts

Keep us in the loop and let us know if this restriction level works for you. I'm at 6cc in a 10cc band right now. I have some restriction but I can and sometimes do eat more then I should be.

I was worried about another fill but reading all these posts has put my worry on hold. It's going to take a tweak for me I'm sure at least one more.

I was banded about 16 days ago and CAN NOT wait for my first fill on the 26th! I have 1.25cc in a 10cc band. This site is a wonderful tool and even though some posts are about the trials and errors of others, it is very informative. Thank you for posting how you are feeling with your restrictions, it gives me an idea of what to expect.

Ok my band is a 14. I have 9/5 cc's at the moment. I've been like the hungry hippo game this past few wks. I'm going for a fill tomorrow. Very nervous that the restriction lasts more than a week or so.. Fingers crossed.

I had my first xray on 11/13 after my fill to 8cc's & my PA says it looks like a "coffee Stirrer" and they prefer a "Milk shake Straw" type closure instead.

Tomorrow will be 7 days w/8cc's i do still feel the restriction now on the 6th day. :D :D :P :P

I think at 8cc's I'm "comfortable". I'm tight in the mornings & late at night. lunch & dinner i can't take big bites but i CAN take big gulps though.

I think to see the scale move i should go tighter still. Maybe another half or so.

When i go on the 27th for the next fill I plan to bring an actual 'Coffee Stirrer' to the appointment...and also 1 shipley doughnut (bread) to eat it in her face to show just how well it goes down (if it goes down) since my appointment is in the morning it may not go down....LOL

Because she's at 8cc's in a 10cc band and has lost 60lbs in a year that's great, but I prefer a more aggressive weight loss than that. I've had 3 months of no loss at all.

Also, she unfills herself when ever she wants & refills herself when ever she wants. I sure wish i had that liberty....

I don't even know how to respond to that one.

Haha!!

Just another one of my many lap band rants to air the frustration goin on in my head.

Since i dont have any friends with lap bands this is the only place i feel someone has got to know what im talking about..

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
