Hey my peeps, question? Has anyone had an issue with hypo thyroid prior to seeing their doc? If so what did he/she say? Does thus interfere with getting banded?

I have hypothyroidism and I haven't had any problems . I'm still on my medication and it hasn't slowed down my weight loss at all.

If hypo is the one where you have an unnaturally slow metabolism that's what I have, and I take medication for it. It didn't interfere at all with my getting banded or my weight loss!

I had thyroid cancer and was still able to get banded. Was told thyroid issues will not cause a problem.

Me too...... Been on Synthroid for many years, and haven't had any problems since surgery. The only thing that may happen, is that once your weight starts to drop, your thyroid medication dosage may need to be adjusted. That's happened for a lot of people, but some, not.
