I was thinking about having a tattoo made in the lower back area. Do you think I better wait until the weight is completely down or I could do it right now ? I started at 290 pounds and is now 230 going for 180...

I have a tattoo on my ankle and it doesn't matter about weight there - lol. I know that this is a tattoo posting - but, I didn't realize Carolinagirl that you haven't had any fills. That's really great - I didn't realize that before. I usually post on my i-phone, but I got onto the site at work and on the iphone app it doesn't give all of the information.

I have three. One on my foot, no probs there LOL. One on my shoulder, also fine. I just got an under-boob tattoo that says "No Day But Today" that I LOVE over my scar and so far so good. When I get my tummytuck hopefully someday I"m worried it will get jacked up but then I'll have to either do a cover or fix it somehow LOL.

If you have alot of lower body fat or are planning on any future cosmetic surgery I would wait. Just as a precaution. Skin elasticity, stretching and/or removal will effect the result of the tatoo.

I have one on my upper right shoulder where I never had much fat so there's no difference after the wl. So it just depends on the location?!?!?!

PS What are you getting :D

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
