ChicagoRose 650 Posted October 16, 2013 I make like a Mediterranean salad.....quinoa, Tomato, cucumbers, bell pepper, and feta cheese tossed with fat free greek dressing. You could add olives but I don't eat olives.
Bandista 7,466 Posted October 16, 2013 Sauté garlic, onion, carrot bits in a little olive oil, salt and pepper, add in the quinoa and let it pick up those flavors then chicken stock to cover plus an inch, let it cook 20 mins or so.....buckwheat is another of these amazing grains,,so high in Protein (actually not a grain, a berry!). 1 catfish87 reacted to this
blondegal_ 1,028 Posted October 16, 2013 I substitute it for grits in shrimp and grits. Also any casserole dish that uses rice I substitute it. 1 catfish87 reacted to this

steph2012 252 Posted October 16, 2013 I cooked with quinoa for the first time this weekend, Quinoa chicken Chili: http://queenbeecoupons.com/crock-pot-slow-cooker-quinoa-chicken-chili-recipe/ It was delicious & a very hearty meal. I substituted ground turkey for the chicken breast because that was what I had in hand. I had several people taste test the chili & everyone thought it was wonderful.
