Sharpie 3,306 Posted October 15, 2013 call them.. it's your body and your health... if you cannot eat it's unhealthy to continue.. You deserve to get the follow up care and I am sure either you or your insurer paid for it... 3 kll724, SeaSounders♥ and dylanmiles23 reacted to this

Kitt3000 757 Posted October 15, 2013 If it is not right, of course you should call them and get this situation corrected. Take a deep breath, stop thinking about being a bother BECAUSE YOU ARE IMPORTANT. Now. Go pick up the phone! You will feel better soon! Listen to your doc regarding your diet after the adjustment. Good luck sweetie!

SeaSounders♥ 225 Posted October 15, 2013 The first time I waited 5 days way to long and had lost 17 lbs I was so dehydrated and the second I went back after the two liquid days on day 3 because I couldn't even tolerate the liquids.
Leena 108 Posted October 15, 2013 If you're vomiting you need to give your stomach a rest. My drs rules have always been 3 days of pure liquids after a fill, 3 days of mushy foods and then back to solids. And anytime vomiting occurs 3 days of liquids. The issue is that vomiting irritates your pouch and inflames tissue-makes you swell. So then everything will be tighter. My band has always been tighter in the morning- which means no solids before noon for me. It's how my body is. Vomiting can lead to a slip- I had a minor slip at one point after I had the flu (probably the only time I've really vomited with the band- that wasn't a PB) And at 2 days after a fill I'd still be on liquids, not small meals. 3 dylanmiles23, kll724 and SeaSounders♥ reacted to this
steph2012 252 Posted October 15, 2013 THe company that banded me (now) only gives 0.5 cc's fills. If you need an defill, they typically take out 0.25 cc's at a time. You should feel an immediate difference. If you had some taken out and didn't feel the difference right away, you probably need more taken out. I would go back again... 1 SeaSounders♥ reacted to this
cheryl2586 3,053 Posted October 15, 2013 Some people are just sensitive and have a lot of swelling after a fill. If you feel uncomfortable then by all means get an unfill. I can go as long as three weeks after a fill and still be swollen. My doctor said some people just have a sensitive stomach. If you cant keep things down they call and get in there. 1 SeaSounders♥ reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 15, 2013 It's not about gratitude. You are paying for your doctor's services, they're not being done out of the goodness of his heart. Going in for help when you need it has nothing to do with being ungrateful and everything to do with being smart and taking care of your self. If I were in your shoes, I'd be getting another small unfill immediately. It doesn't matter if you have to go in there every day for a week to get to a point you're not too tight. You have to do what's best for you. Best wishes. 1 SeaSounders♥ reacted to this
kll724 3,055 Posted October 15, 2013 You are definitely too tight if you can't even swallow Water. But you might be swollen, as my surgeon recommends 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids after fills and unfills. But 10 pounds in a weekend is scarey! By the way, if I had a fill on Friday, I would not have been allowed to eat all weekend! 1 SeaSounders♥ reacted to this
DetChatt 188 Posted October 15, 2013 I'm also sensitive and needed more time between adjustments and stayed on full liquids. Stressing about it can cause some lingering symptoms also. Yes, you should see your doctor, but also try to relax a bit and give your body time to adjust. You do need to be able to get liquids in though, definitely! 1 SeaSounders♥ reacted to this
