It's normal to feel a bit tired after surgery of any kind. With this surgery you have drastically cut your intake of food, and your body is busy adjusting to all the changes and healing from the recent trauma.(Surgery the body doesn't know you chose to do this, it just reacts to it.)

You are probably getting back to your regular routine, and your body is now being asked to put out movement with much less energy source and needs to tap into it's resources, so it's going to take some time to get back up to full speed.

Be easy with yourself and take it slow when you can and as you need to. Up your Protein intake, and hydrate those will help the body assimilate.

If you are feeling VERY tired or lethargic please call your Dr. right away and let them know, and ask them to advise you further.

Feel better soon!

Not sure where you are geographically, but where we live the light is changing quite a bit and that seems to make every one tired. From here on until Solstice every one is a bit more internal and in need of LIGHT. Even the dogs are layabouts these days as the weather grows colder. I think it's an adjustment. Add to that the surgery and changes in your caloric intake -- it's just a signal that you should take it easy. So happy for you to be two weeks out. I can't wait -- in five weeks that will be me! Take good care of yourself!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
