Getting admiring glances and remarks from husband when I get ready for work each day.

Compliments like "your shrinking" from the gals at work.

Wearing a dress because it is the latest fashion trend.

Fitting into to clothes I have not worn in ages.

Shopping

Being able to like myself again, what went on in my head when I was fat was worse than anything.

Maybe the BMI is a scale victory but I have plenty of NSV's... loving myself in photo's again, towels that fit, all the clothes in my closet that are falling off and the belt that I'm wearing today needs a hole added because its too big!! :) I love my band!!

I almost forgot. I had a Bracelet I couldn't wear anymore, my mom got it from Germany. It fits now!!! Yay! That was an awesome feeling.

I think this is the best one yet: I'm no longer the LAST to be ready when we are getting ready for any particular outing because I don't have to try on 50 different combination to end up wearing the same pants I did the day before. And that's considering I STILL haven't gone clothes shopping, so all I have is the big stuff I've been wearing, the ones I've had a chance to take in, AND THE ONES THAT DIDNT FIT YET!!!!

Today I waited for hubby outside and asked him if he was ready about 5 times. :P

I have only lost 35 pounds in 4 months. However, I went from a size XL in belts to a size medium. I went from a size 16 in pants to size 10. I went from an XL shirt to L, but that's only because I have a small belly and big you know what.... Lol. Loving it!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
