Allieg8tor, I hope you didn't lift that case all by yourself!!!

Nope, I had my uncle Robert carry it for me. ;)

As any southern gentleman should, he didn't even complain! :)

My Dr instructed me to have between 40-60 grams of Protein daily' date=' I have tried the Medifast shakes and Muscle Milk, both were ok. Went to GNC to see what they had for options. They make a line of their own shakes called lean. I bought a strawberry, vanilla, and a pumpkin flavor one to try them. The pumpkin is EXCELLENT, they also have a Cookies and cream flavor, will try that one soon. One of these in the AM and one later in the day gets me plenty of the Protein I need. Just wish I had found them sooner. They are definitely the best tasting I have found. Especially the pumpkin! Just wanted to share with everyone out there either pre-op or post Op liquid diet etc...

Do mix it with milk or Water?

My surgery was Oct. 2nd. I've been doing pretty awesomely' date=' I think. I've healed really well and I kind of made things easier on myself for the post-op diet by introducing one item at at time that was on the list, so that I always felt like I was getting more variety. I stayed with the same three items until I couldn't take it, added one, and that's really gotten me through the worst of it. For me, it's all about a "reward" system, so I just kinda set it up so that I always feel like there's a little surprise to look forward to! Homemade sugar free Hot chocolate was my favorite so far! :)[/quote']

That's awesome! How do you make sugar free homemade hot chocolate? I love hot chocolate because I don't like coffee and that's what I drink during the winter :-)

Aaaannndd' date=' the verdict is:

THESE shakes ARE AMAZING!

Literally the best flavor. I wish it would last forever.

I bought a case of 12 to start. ;)

Yay!! <3

Has anyone tried them heated?[/quote']

You can make your own pumpkin flavor. I do think with my Profit Protein all year.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
