YadairaD 25 Posted October 9, 2013 I am 6 weeks post op. During the pre op diet, I lost 17 pounds. Since then, I feel like (and according to my mom, look like) I have lost inches but gained 3 pounds. I don't understand? I have an appointment today to discuss this terrible port site pain I've gotten the last few days.

CaGottaBand 498 Posted October 9, 2013 You just commented on someone else's topic to "throw away the scale"...maybe you should take your own advice? LOL I know it is super frustrating to see the scale go up...I base my success on the inches I am losing. I measure religiously every two weeks. It helps keep me motivated to see the inches lost. DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted October 9, 2013 I have been walking but nothing else yet. The best way to know if you are losing inches is to take measurements so you can track it. If I were you, I'd start taking your measurements now. Weight loss comes down to math- when you burn more than you consume, you lose weight. The simplest way to assure that happens is to track your calories so you can be sure you're not accidentally eating too much. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Yeah I'm TERRIBLE at following my own advice lol but I haven't weighed myself since my last fill, that was about 2 weeks ago. I will weigh myself at the dr today. Amanda1982 142 Posted October 9, 2013 You are new to the process, just remember the scale is not your friend, the measuring tape is lol. I gain weight periodically throughout the month for instance is it close to your "TOM" if so the weight gain could be Water retention. Don't panic if you are eating right and exercising the weight will come off.... the key is to stop watching the numbers Follow me on Twittwer @myworldalc 1 SeaSounders♥ reacted to this
