JCallie01 10 Posted August 12, 2013 Might be a silly question, but I had my gall bladder removed via laproscopy (the 5 incisions) about 8 years ago and still have the scars from that. I would like to hear from anyone else who had gall bladder surgery then plication for a few reasons, 1. can they go over the same incision sites (scars) or will they make new ones? 2. Can they even make new ones, or would this block me from being able to get the surgery, 3. If you've had your gall bladder removed then you know about those times after you eat a particularly greasy meal and have to make a mad dash for the bathroom....is that going to be even worse after the surgery? Thank you in advance for any answers:-) 1 Superfluous reacted to this

Fluffnomore 1,235 Posted November 13, 2013 I had my gallbladder out 5 years ago and was sleeved about 3 weeks ago. I have 5 new incision sites, so no. As far as the bowel stuff goes, I had (TMI warning) really loose stools almost every day. Sometimes the urgency, but it didn't seem to be brought on particularly by greasy. It was worst in the morning. I was convinced it might be bile salts diarrhea type stuff, but never bothered to have it tested. Since sleeving I have had a couple of those moments, but if anything I struggle more with the opposite. It is early days, yet, so maybe this will change.
