Ron Cusano 0 Posted March 3, 2007 Can I be your friend too?? I'll be your friend! Actually, I am consistently amazed by the intricacies that I learn about God's Word, and how every day of research brings new discoveries that just confirm what He says. I've had a lot of those "WOW, that's fascinating!" discoveries in my studies. Feel free to lay any of your "screwball" theories on me any day of the week. I actually have a question for you or anyone who can answer this; it's a "screwball theory" of my own. Does anyone know if, when animals give birth, they experience pain? I don't have a lot of experience with animals (grew up in the city and didn't have any pets) so I've never known. I'm not talking about whether they exert themselves, but whether they exhibit actual signs of pain.
Tired_Old_Man 1 Posted March 3, 2007 Science can tell us that the sky is blue because of the refraction of light in the atmosphere, but I would not say that "the sky is blue" is an absolute reality. You are correct. I was wrong.
Tired_Old_Man 1 Posted March 3, 2007 My understanding of civil rights is that they apply to characteristics of people that cannot be changed (color, national origin, gender, etc.), not to actions they choose to participate in...I just don't see gay marriage as a civil rights issue. What makes you think that being Gay is a choice? Do fat people who have a choice to over-eat or not over-eat give up their civil rights?
Tired_Old_Man 1 Posted March 3, 2007 Based on what I have observed, heard and read, I have to agree with you that homosexuality is a choice, although most don't realize it. I know that withing the church, there are ministries that work with homosexuals who want to become streight and they have great results. I have only know a handfull of gay people well, and every one of them had experienced some kind of emotional trauma growing up or as young adults. I don't know if that is universal, but it's what I personally am aware of.I have read books by members of those ministries and even they admit (between the lines) that it is not a cure, but a bandaid. I guess suicides by "Gay converts" are not a problem worth dealing with by ministries who KNOW that being Gay is a choice.
Tired_Old_Man 1 Posted March 3, 2007 For example, I believe it is wrong that a person can confess a murder to their spouse and the spouse can't testify to that because of "spousal privilege". And yet that is the way the law has evolved. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I think it holds marriage in higher esteem than lawful activity, which I don't agree with. I hope that answered your question! Should people be forced to testify against themselves? When I was married, the minister said that he joined my wife and me as one. So my wife testifying against me would be against my religious values. The Christian judges of this Christan country have extended the 5th amendment to the other part of me; my wife. Tired_Old_Man 1 Posted March 3, 2007 The other thing I have been chewing on is the fact that the folks that claim they have DNA evidence to prove that those bones are from Jesus reallly bothered me. There cant be any way that this can be proven.Suppose they find the same DNA in the box with Jesus' name on it as they do on the "Shroud of Turin"?
Ron Cusano 0 Posted March 3, 2007 All of these rants coming from a self-professed Socialist/Communist that hates our government, hates our president, and claims to worship a god that he says is imperfect and fallible that he made up without believing the only records that give accurate information about God, the Bible. Yeah, there is a lot of credibility there so we all better pay attention. Suppose they find the same DNA in the box with Jesus' name on it as they do on the "Shroud of Turin"? BJean 16 Posted March 3, 2007 Oh geez, the name-calling, finger pointing, slanderous remarks are here too. The place is filthy with them. How can some people be so stupid as to call anyone who posts here the things that you've been called, TOM? And the last time I heard someone call other people names and claim that others are filled with hate, when nothing they have said indicates any such thing, was on another thread and this ninney-ninney-nah-nah tirade is so unbecoming of an adult. anonemouse 1 Posted March 3, 2007 Suppose they find the same DNA in the box with Jesus' name on it as they do on the "Shroud of Turin"?Actually, that's a very good question, and I for one would like to hear an answer. But of course, you don't have one, do you, Ron? All you can do is follow people around and post vitriol about them.

Ron Cusano 0 Posted March 3, 2007 This is how HE identified HIMSELF!!! Oh geez, the name-calling, finger pointing, slanderous remarks are here too. The place is filthy with them. anonemouse 1 Posted March 3, 2007 Actually, NO he didn't. He NEVER identified himself as a Communist or Socialist, and you not liking the way he worships God doesn't make his God made-up.
BJean 16 Posted March 3, 2007 Nope, right laurend, it doesn't! And it's a good thing we're onto the bully on the block because otherwise, we might just forget how to be ladylike. Oops, I guess I mean... ladylike, again. Your stalker-ish comment made me laugh outloud.

Yeah, there is a lot of credibility there so we all better pay attention. Oh, you wild and whacky funster! Where did TOM maintain he was a dreaded Socialist/Communist on any of these threads? And did you not know that communism and socialism are two entirely different economic philosphies? And certainly you must be aware of the malicious manipulation implicit in the above quoted post, nicht war? You have conflated what you believe to be this man's beliefs, and his evident dislike of the current right wing political approach to international affairs by the baby Bush government, as being evidence of his being anti-American and being anti-Christian. In fact this cat has always been anxious to engage in open democratic discourse. Are you insane? Do you really think that TOM is a threat to the sweet civil liberties upon which the United States were founded? On the contrary, his engagement in these big questions emphasizes the moral and intellectual generosity of the Christian West. What do you expect to achieve by demonizing TOM, a fellow Christian, by the above quoted statements? Cusano, you must realise that your fondness for dramatics and for snits and for abuse will never win anyone over to your side. Why do you do the things that you do? wants to know the baffled Green.
