As of this morning I am down 53lbs it is so exiting to loss every day. I do work hard at it but the neat thing is before the surgery I worked this hard and the most I ever got off was 30lbs. I am so happy I had this surgery........

Thank you!!!!! As of now my goal weight is 175, and if I am not happy at that then 155 will be next, but the only way I am going to get to that point is if I get off my butt and go to the gym lol!!!

Congratulations!!! I can't wait to post that I am down 80 or 90 pounds. Right now I am sitting at about 51 pounds but I am only 2 months post op. Seems like it was ages ago. I have hit a wall and I have not been eating very well so it is only my fault that the weight loss has slowed. I need to work out, count my calories and stay away from sweets. It is hard just like any diet but I have no excuses. I have been rather down on myself here lately and that only makes my behavior worse. I am getting back in the gym TODAY and every day going to work out for an hour. I know that is going to be a big part of the answer.

Thanks for the inspiration! I would love to see some before and after shots too.

I get the hitting a wall part, I am now only 82lbs down but I am in a 3 month challenge with some if my girlfriends and I am at the gym right now..lol!!! 50lbs in two months is awesome don't even be hard on yourself, think back and remember how long it would have taken you to get that 50lbs off in the past. The gym is for sure a key rule I am just trying to get back to it, cause I don't want to loss to my friends lol!!! Good luck and keep up the good work

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
