CeeBelize 22 Posted March 3, 2012 Can someone tell me when it was safe or comfortable enough to eat bread or potato chips after plication? food is starting to go down pretty easily but after my doc told me about a patient to ate potato chips a week after surgery and ended up in the hospital for several days, those are the two foods I'm scared to try. Chevron 49 Posted March 4, 2012 I'm one month post-op and haven't had any cravings for potato chips or bread. My dietician and surgeon have both said to cut out junk food completely. We might be eating less, but we still have to eat smart.
Kami76065 19 Posted April 13, 2012 according to my nutritionist it's safe to eat those when you're ready to gain your weight back.... She did say dry, crunchy things like chips were sliders and would go down easily, as a matter of fact too easily and go right on through and you wouldn't feel full, and therefore wouldn't stop when you should - thus gain it back. I've never seen a chip as appealing as a size 8! LOL 1 mybaby reacted to this
