Lmom1980 29 Posted November 10, 2011 sorry I have not been on the forum at all this month, I hope you are all doing well. I only lost 4 pounds, Booo. why did I keep sneaking that halloween candy? I learned I can eat a lot of candy without feeling full. I think that puts me at 60 pounds in 8 months. To me this is not very good weight loss for someone who had WLS. I enjoy exercise, I am addicted to jogging, and I am still not dropping weight very fast. I wish I had the VSG, but I am still greatful for the progress I have made thus far. I have a way to go yet (41 pounds), but I feel really good. Sexy even.
FatToPhat 83 Posted November 12, 2011 Congratulations! You're still going in the right direction! And, even though we think it should be more than that with a weight loss surgery, would you have done it without the surgery? It's helped, whether it's fast or slow weight loss. You're doing great! mednar 26 Posted November 14, 2011 FTP is right. Moving in that direction is all that matters. I get so pissed some days when I know I've made the right choices and I see no results. For days. Or even weeks. I try to keep in mind that my doctor's nutritionist says that 4 lbs per month is what to expect in general. You're losing almost double that on average. I struggle with that number. Seems like it should be more. Don't beat yourself up for what you consider Halloween mistakes. Keep at it.
lauraleigh9mm 0 Posted November 18, 2011 I get frustrated too, but the Dr. told me it would be a year or so before I level out. So I should not be so snippy with the weight I have lost
Lmom1980 29 Posted December 11, 2011 Update....only 3 pounds for the month. I am 9 months post op, and only down about 63 pounds now. I have 38 pounds until I reach my goal.
mednar 26 Posted December 11, 2011 You are losing 7 lbs per month on average. That's great. Don't be too hard on yourself, but keep pushing. There are apps tracking food intake and exercise. Maybe one of those could help? You can do it. Keep at it.
