Finally broke into the 220s!

Recommended Posts

I've been stuck in the 230s for almost 2 months. Although I've lost inches and a size, I pretty much weighed the same. Since I'm on summer vacation I decided to really focus on exercising daily and being more aware of my eating habits. A few times I actually worked out twice a day. I started doing Zumba and really enjoy it so if I miss a class I actually get bummed! Very strange! ;)

I'm starting to be able to fit into some size 16s. My goal before I go back to work in about 2 1/2 weeks is to lose 5 more pounds or 60 pounds total, which would put me at 223. My 6 month surgiversary is coming up in a few days and I have to say that I am ecstatic with my results. I am very happy I chose the plication!

Take care,

Jenn,

That is wonderful that you have finally gotten pass your hump. My Fitness trainer tells me that I may need to shock my body again. Like do some different exercises, go longer than normal or cut something from my diet ( for me is an occasional ice cream). I was thinking about starting Zumba at the Gym too, Its looks fun!

Lena

I've gone to class now about 10 or 12 times and I'm finally starting to get it. I figure as long as I'm still moving around I am losing weight! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
