chowchows 100 Posted June 16, 2011 For those that had their surgery in Mexico, or in a place other than your home country, did you tell your primary care doc about it beforehand? If you didn't tell them until afterwards, how did they react when you told them about the surgery?
TijuanaPlication 87 Posted June 16, 2011 I didn't tell my doc until after and he was of the opinion it should be possible to control weight without WLS!
chowchows 100 Posted June 16, 2011 I didn't tell my doc until after and he was of the opinion it should be possible to control weight without WLS! That's what I am afraid my doc is going to say to me. That's pretty much his opinion.

chowchows 100 Posted June 18, 2011 I TOLD MY DR BEFORE AND SHE SAID GOOD MAY BE I SHOULD GO TOO LOL, I like your doctor...maybe I need to start seeing her! I wasn't wild about my doc pre-surgery, and I have been avoiding him post-surgery. I know that someday I either need to get another doc, or bite the bullet and go break the news to him. chowchows 100 Posted June 19, 2011 When you did tell your doctor, did they do any particular post-op care or checks?
TijuanaPlication 87 Posted June 20, 2011 He looked at my stitches and said it was OK for me to remove my steri strips (I was 10 days out). When you did tell your doctor, did they do any particular post-op care or checks?
