futuremrsparker 288 Posted October 6, 2013 My doc likes me to stay between 80 and 100 grams a day... Protein first ALWAYS, then fit in some carbs with each meal. She said that our brains need carbs to function properly and she wants people to eat a "real life" diet because there's no way someone will eat 20-30 grams of carbs for the rest of their life. Her big thing is to track every bite that goes in to my mouth, and I do! You'll lose a bit slower than those eating low low carb, but there's no way you won't lose if you're only eating 800-1000 cals a day and exercising even if you're eating 100 grams of carbs!
