staceyd 25 Posted October 1, 2013 I just have to vent... I got a call today from the drs office to ask if we could push back my surgery till the 28th of October. My heart fell to my feet. Wtf! I'm trying so hard not to cry or complain. But I have so much that has been scheduled! Parents coming jn from out of town just to help me and make sure my son gets to school etc. ugh. TurnThePage 220 Posted October 1, 2013 Ok, so they asked--you don't have to agree. Say NO, too much already scheduled around this. They'll sort it out. I had a call Friday from my surgeon's office for a different surgery, asking to change my date. I said No, my plans are set. They said okay and got my pre-op tests schedule so now my date is fixed right where I want it. Not a big deal.
staceyd 25 Posted October 1, 2013 I thought about that but then I don't want the dr taint it out on me. Idk. I'm just worried to piss the dr off. I think the whole problem is that the dr likes to do his surgeries in the morning. That Monday the 21st the surgery would be in the afternoon and they would be short staffed in the . OR. I just wonder why the time wasn't blocked off when I first got my surgery date. I think I am going to tell them no.

Christie Frazer-Fernandes 2 Posted October 2, 2013 Tell them no you already have plans all set at home for that date. My surgery was supposed to be on a Monday and they changed it on Friday to the Thursday. Then Tues of that week they called again to change it to the Monday after I told them I couldn't change my husband had taken the time out of work to be with me an I had already scheduled time out of work. They kept my Thursday date with no problems.

TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted October 2, 2013 Breath girl... Think positive, but I would say nope simply cuz everyone made plans to help you out. Not many of us including my self have others to help them out after any surgery.
