I feel like ppl are looking at me now & they never did before & I'm soooo self conscious ; / I still have 50 lbs to hit my goal & some days I just want to hide. I felt like this when I went shopping the other day in the regular section...like people were asking themselves, " Why is SHE shopping in this section?" Then I realized I was in my head...people don't care, I'm not that important. I think it takes awhile for our heads to match our new bodies. Freaky stuff. barroshe 62 Posted September 30, 2013 Yes. My head is taking a long time catching up with my body image. I still find myself holding up a pair of pants thinking there's no way these are going to fit, only to find out they are too big. ElleG 394 Posted September 30, 2013 I'm totally opposite. I love it now, I hated it then. I pray the day will come when u walk by that mirror and say WOW! I look good
LilBoo007 491 Posted September 30, 2013 I have only recently realized that I have a nice body again... However looking at it in the mirror naked I say otherwise! Even with all my weight training my skin is saggy in my but, thighs, stomach and upper arms... And my boobs look like deflated balloons! It makes me wonder what my hubby sees attractive about me and why others think I look amazing! But in clothes you can't see all the imperfections and I look pretty damn good! I think it's a lot to get used to!

He thought I was hot fat and now thin and saggy. I still struggle with body image. It is hard to always know the person in the reflection of the mirror is me. I have days where I think damn I look good and then days where I want to hide. I would say it takes time, but I am 15 months post op and still work on this. My husband is wonderful, too! I hate my belly...I had a classical incision c section with my twins and the vertically divided sagging belly is particularly unattractive.... I keep reminding myself how much better my overall health is, that's the important thing.

LilBoo007 491 Posted October 1, 2013 So my husband and I noticed last night that my hips have slimmed down even more. Now they are smaller than my upper thigh! This really saddens me : ( I used to have an hourglass figure and now to me I look like a boy.... No curves!!! God... All of the things u feared would happen and hoped wouldn't seem to be taking place. Very disappointed.....
