Have you tried magnesium citrate...one bottle, followed by a saline enema....held in as long as you can..repeat with one more bottle only if you've gotten results, followed by another enema...or you can try a Miralax bowel gatorade prep....miralax in g2... If you've tried alot of this and it just causes pain, go to the er..they'll disimpact you..

Thanks for the reply

Ill try the magnesium

If that doesnt work i guess im off to the ER... That sounds so unpleasant. Plus my surgery was in Mexico. Im 3 weeks post op on a sleeve to bypass revision. My bmi is fairly low as i lost quite a bit with the sleeve....unable to accomplish my final goal without the revision. I dont relish explaining to the doc that i am 3 weeks post op from a low bmi bypass done in Mexico.

Thanks for checking

I got a little nervous about the magnisum since i did 3 saline enemas yestersay and magnisum is another saline thing. I think you can hurt your kidneys with too much of that.

Im drinking a ton of Water and trying another oil enema but i think i may be hitting the Er this evening

Ive never had one but im told inpactions can be dangerous

Honestly, they will probably give you magnesium citrate in the hospital first thing. You are giving yourself saline enemas so that shouldn't have too Munch effect on your kidneys.

You need to hit it from the top to! Everything may be up higher in the intestine out of an enemas reach.

Yes, milk of magnesia, magnesium citrate, senna, etc. But I am almost positive that when you go to the er they will give you magnesium citrate. My friend was in the same situation as you and that's what they did for her.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
