SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted September 25, 2013 I know there are a few campers out here. I need good suggestions on dinner meals while camping that aren't too elaborate and will appease my 9 year old Cub Scout. Trying to avoid chili til it's cooler! Thoughts??? DLCoggin 1,788 Posted September 25, 2013 tuna salad - canned tuna, little low-fat mayo, diced pickle (dill or my favorite - sweet) and I like to add diced celery. You can eat it as is, make sandwiches, or for family members not on a low carb diet - try tuna burgers by putting it on hamburger Buns with a slice of cheese, wrap in heavy duty foil and toss 'em on the grill over some campfire coals just long enough to heat 'em up and melt the cheese. Very high in Protein, versatile, you can prepare the day before you leave, no cooking or pot to clean and it's really good!! Also easy to take with you on the boat when you're fishing!! SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted September 25, 2013 While I love tuna salad I believe I must boycott tuna with Cub Scout camping!!! 1 DLCoggin reacted to this
doingit4me 9 Posted September 26, 2013 Do a hobo dinner. Place a hamburger patty, carrots, onion, and potato in tin foil and cook. Google for an exact recipe
