Tina727 48 Posted September 21, 2013 Our surgeon is Dr. William Graber and he is one of the best! He has made medical journals, and has many awards! No other surgeon in our area is that good! He has many successful stories! This is his story!! (Quote) Our comprehensive program has successfully met the highest standards set forth by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and is recognized as an ASMBS Center of Excellence. In 2011 HealthGrades rated us #1 in NYS for bariatric surgery! Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital in association with William A. Graber, MD, PC - Weight Loss Surgery Again this is our menu I think I'm doing pretty remarkable considering I lost 41 pounds in 4 weeks! My nutritionist works with my surgeon so I don't think talking to her would change anything since they are the ones who make the diet sheet up! I will apologize, but I truly trust our surgeon 100% and I have talked to many of his patients who several years later are doing amazing!!! I have no doubts at all about him or his decisions. Thank y'all though for you concern. best of luck on everyone's journey! Also thank you for your wishes
Kat23 47 Posted September 22, 2013 Tina727 is doing great. The doctors plan is great. He has done over 5000 surgeries and knows what he is doing. He focuses first on healing you and your pouch. He then wants you to focus on smart choices and nutrition without stressing out too much about counting. With this doctor and his plan I have lost 80 pounds in less than 5 months and my husband has lost over 100 in 6 months. After care is wonderful as well. Our levels are all great. And no complications. Nice work Tina!

Explained it perfectly! I really don't understand where everyone else is coming from.. I'm happy with Dr. Graber and the entire team! Thank you! Congrats on you and your husbands progress! May I ask where your from? Not too many people on here are local.

May I ask where your from? Not too many people on here are local. You're welcome. His focus is in real life and rest of your life eating. Carbs are a necessity for body functioning. Too much is the problem. Be smart, focus on Protein and healthy choices and you will be fine. A cracker or two will not derail you. Going to extremes got us into this in the first place and exactly what Graber is wanting us to avoid. Everyone's doctor is different too by the way. For example, there are many on here that eat Soup and drink Protein shakes...things we are discouraged from doing. Focus on the directions you are given and you'll be fine. And to answer your question, I live in the Syracuse area. Good luck! You're doing great.

TX Patty 12 Posted December 3, 2013 I get the feeling, from these forums, certain people believe they know what's best for everyone. It's a bit annoying, I'd have to agree. Give an opinion when it's asked for. I do notice, though, that they don't post their stats. Curious observation. My doc gave me a binder and it doesn't reflect their opinion in any way. Congrats to you and your wife!
