Sweets

Not that it's a big deal but I was wondering if I'd ever be able to have cake or sweets again. Im getting married and it would be a shame not to be able to have a piece of wedding cake.

It depends on each person. I have trouble with sweets, but some people can not handle them.

I can handle 3-4 bites of almost anything. More and I'll dump. But, 3-4 bites satisfies the urge so it works for me!

My surgeon stated that one or two bites probably won't hurt, but if you go for the whole piece then you probably will dump. This same question was brought up at the weight loss meeting. I'm not there yet, just 1 week post op.

I've not tried to eat a piece of cake....but I've had bites of it and sugar doesn't bother me. I'm a little over 5 months out. I've tried just about everything except for lettuce. I don't have issues with any food that I can find. I can eat milk and all that. I've got like the super pouch attached to the super system. It's a bit scary. I've eaten several blueberry muffins. I do watch the sugar in stuff...but really...I'm kinda bad with my eating. I do justify it by eating healthy and right over 80% of the time. So yeah, you might be able to eat some cake.
