Sleeved2RNY 10 Posted September 19, 2013 I've been having some very strange pain/movements in my stomach since eating a bad batch of chili (w/ ground turkey) Saturday night (5 days now). I'm assuming it was the ground turkey that made me sick because I let it sit 2 days after thawing it out (kicks self). The pain is not too intense (about a 4). But, the nausea and occasional "turning" of my stomach alarms me. It feels like I have a baby doing summersaults inside of me. I'm taking Tylenol Extra Strength for the pain, Zofran for nausea, and also a PPI. I called my surgeon who suggested that I go to the ER. I DREAD going to that place. But, I will force myself to go if I can't figure out what's wrong with me. I already have a scheduled appointment with my surgeon on Monday. Has anyone experienced this? BBdoodle 483 Posted September 19, 2013 Letting it sit for two days should not be a problem as long as it was refrigerated and you thawed it out in the fridge and not on the counter. I'm glad called your surgeon. Usually if I ate something bad it goes in and comes out right away and once its out I am OK. You may have the the stomach bug that is going around ! Feel better soon ! Sleeved2RNY 10 Posted September 19, 2013 That's true! My son ate it as well and he didn't get sick. Uhhhh! Just when I was starting to feel normal post-op. Thanks!
