Med1862 41 Posted September 12, 2013 I had my surgery yesterday. All went well, fair amount of pain, but doing fine. Lying in my bed just trying to take it all in. Let the journey begin. 6 tim0826, ArmyOfMe, anniesmommy and 3 others reacted to this

Obeasta 92 Posted September 12, 2013 Well done Med! So happy for you! It's goung to be an adjustment - but it is funny hoe quickly one falls in with the programme. Very soon you are going to feel so wonderful i promise! Please remember that when the dark clouds come. Because they will come. But in the end you are going to be so happy. That is a promise. oldoneyoungagain 200 Posted September 12, 2013 I had my surgery yesterday. All went well, fair amount of pain, but doing fine. Lying in my bed just trying to take it all in. Let the journey begin. Same here I'm at home in my recliner, getting ready to take a dose of pain meds, but actually not in much pain (I have a high tolerance to pain), but it does hurt to get out of the chair. Found being in a recliner doesn't hurt as much as getting out of a bed. Nor do I have near the gas pain. And your journey has begun to a new you. Congrats. Noah1208 0 Posted September 13, 2013 SAME HERE!!! I'd be more than happy to talk to anyone wanting a mans perspective. I had surgery July 29th and I'm down 55 pounds in 6 weeks. My hospital does have the strictest diet I've seen though. 2 weeks Clear liquids. 2 weeks full liquids. 4 weeks puréed. 4 weeks soft foods. I'm in my second week of puréed and so far (knock on wood) have had 0 complications and no dumping at all. Also have had no foods I can't handle.
