bb00024 21 Posted September 11, 2013 I am on day 9 of my 14-day pre-op diet. I cheated today and ate an Atkins candy bar/snack thingy. I feel bad, well sorta ) However, my real question is about after surgery, will these Atkins items be something we can eat? Caramel Nut Chew bar 1-G sugar 130-calories 2-G Net carbs The back says 17-G Carbs, but 6-G dietary Fiber and 1-G Sugar and 9-G Sugar Alcohol. Any information would be great. Thank you. [/quote'] You should probably check with your surgeon or RD/NUT. They should give you a guideline of how many Proteins, fats, and carbs to eat at each meal. Also, some people have difficulty with sugar alcohol....some dump on it, for others it triggers sugar or carb cravings.

sonya139 5 Posted September 14, 2013 I agree with Ricky. I know that surgeons have different expectations/directions so you should consult with them. When I am finally blessed to have surgery I hope to be as compliant as possible. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
