Cannot stand protein shakes any longer

Wow! I am glad that I saw this post. I am having issues getting down my Protein Shakes and I have been thinking of looking into the shots. I don't think I would like dog butt. I have been using milk to get in the extra protein.

I am still pre op- however I read from several people (somewhere! I have read so much it all comes together) There is these Protein "shots" they are literally 1-3oz maybe and it's a lot of Protein in them - I may can find them again but I would think that small amount would be so much easier to get down verses an entire shake

According to dl coggin, protein guru, the "shots" are an indigestible form of protein...don't bother. They are horrible anyway.

Milk is good, dog butt is bad!!!! So, after searching for Protein pills, the ones I found had 2-3 grams of Protein per 2 pills....OY, I'd be popping em all day. AND I've yet to find out what type of protein so dammit, once again, no magic pill :( why is there never a magic pill?!?!? I want a magic pill!!!!!

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
