Did your Menstral Change after Surgery?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if you had any changes in your cycle after surgery? Did it get shorter? Was the flow heavier? I'm just curious to know. Men pardon my post but I had to ask.

In my case, it started and did not stop. I have been PMSing for two months now. Not heavy, not painful, just overly annoying.

Surgery hormones + the Nexplanon = never ending flow. Aggravating at this point. Hopefully, my OB has some good news for me soon.

Mine is still the same..It came when it was supposed to after surgery. I can say the first two days are a little heavier than they used to be, but then again Ive always had light periods..

I've been on my period for 18 days! Not painful, only using a lite tampon x 3 per day but many it's just annoying and I want it to quit!! I see GYN on Thursday. Hopefully she will have some insight.

Mine came on time but it is extremely heavy. Shockingly heavy, actually. I'm going to wait a couple more days and see if it starts to ease up (I'm only 3 days in), but if it I still the same I will see a doctor.

During my surgery I had my period...after surgery my periods have been a little off...like I would get it, then it would stop then it would come again....with-in weeks time...so I am way off....

I remember using depo when I was younger and it made my hormones crazy and I had my period for 2 months straight...never again...lol

This. I have it for a day or two, the next week I may spot for a few hours. I'm all over the place post op. Pre op it came like clockwork.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
