Recommended Posts

I put up this subject cuz I feel like we beat our self up all the time but there has to be something good that happen during the time we were overweight. Let me start off...

1. I had my last 2 kids being fat

2. I was fat when I got married

3. I enjoy my food

4. Nothing was hanging on my body

5. My hair was super long & thick

6. Didn't have dry skin.

7. Big boobs

8. Big butt

No, nothing really good. I've been alone my whole life, certainly not an attractive person and my self esteem is non-existent. I'm 44 and had surgery on August 26. I need to change, I will never be pretty, but I hope to improve by losing 100 lbs. I do have a great family and best friend, and people like me, but it's not enough. I need to like myself, right now I don't.

My husband and my baby are my biggest blessings pre-surgery. So yes, good things did happen before WLS.

Other than that, no, I was an obese, depressed, always at odds with myself individual.

I am thankful for my kids pre surgery. But life did suck. I was a couch potatoe who was moody. I'm a better mom know that the weight is off to be sure.

date of surgery 02/21/12 surgery weight 340 lbs. current weight 146 lbs

I found out where some people hearts were. While this was sometimes a painful experience, it was none the less enlightening.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
