buff1973 2 Posted December 7, 2013 I started my two week diet yesterday(on my birthday) and will have my surgery December 19th! I have had no doubts at all! I'm losing it! 19 Posted December 7, 2013 I started my two week diet yesterday(on my birthday) and will have my surgery December 19th! I have had no doubts at all! When you can't put your shoes on or quit breathing when I bend over it seems to wipe out any doubts that I have. Hello. I am just two days ahead of you with surgery on the 17th. I have to tell you........the ENERGY that I have gained during this pre-op diet is incredible!!! I have always been a go-go-go girl...even at my highest of 401#. I am so cleansed feeling over all...skin, thoughts, stamina, overall energy, happiness etc...it's all there in a better way than it has been for many many years. I am getting excited for the sugery too. I know anything is possible for complications etc...but, I will trust things will go well and I will recover in no time! Good luck and healthy days ahead! I'm losing it! 19 Posted December 7, 2013 Today I "varied" from the last two weeks. I have been doing EXCELLENT on the pre-op (RYN) diet. Mine is a 20 carbs or less/day and HIGH Protein focus diet. I went to lunch at Applebee's with my daughter. She wanted something on the 2 for $20 menu and so did I. So, I ordered the 7oz sirloin steak with steamed veggies (good choice, right?)....she ordered the crazy calorie and jacked up CARB x a million Pasta dish with breadstick (She is 113 pounds and can handle this!). The issue was this.............the 2 for $20 comes with an appetizerto share. We chose the boneless chicken wings with OUT sauce (sauce on the side). So...........I had 4 pieces (chicken bites)............they are DEEP FRIED (I had forgotten that part when we ordered). I went ahead and ate them, chose to just go "over" today in the carbs. Ummmmmmmmmmmmm I was SICK (potty) with in about 40 mins. I swear to you............the grease just about killed me!!! This is NOT the type of food I have been eating for the past two weeks. This is NORMAL food that I USED to eat...often!!! I used to always have potty issues and now I have confirmed why I used to always get 'sick' and feel like crapola! TA-DA! I am done! I soooooooooo didn't need those few bites and they were not that good either. I totally enjoyed the med-rare 7oz sirloin steak and steamed veggies, MUCH more......I even got SUPER full. Lesson learned! Live and learn! I have 10 more days of this low carb diet, one day following that for a colon cleans and a clear liquid diet and then RYGB on TUESDAY the 17th! Yahoooooooooooooo! elizH 8 Posted December 7, 2013 I am in day 8 of my Protein Shake diet. I am not that hungry in the mornings but by middle of afternoon and night I am ravenous. I have tried my Protein shake snack around 2 or 3 in pm and that seems to help. I find that my nerves and mood is decreasing steadily. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?I am on day 4 of 2 weeks of Protein Shakes. It is testing my resolve! I keep bouncing between excitement about the process and doubts about whether I should do it. Has anyone else felt like they were on an emotional roller coaster ? 1 I'm losing it! reacted to this

I keep bouncing between excitement about the process and doubts about whether I should do it. Has anyone else felt like they were on an emotional roller coaster ? I have been feeling a bit bouncy in the mood dept. I am not doubting that I can, will, or should have my surgery...but the process is a bit different than our FREE FEEDING that many of us are used to. I was really crabby two weeks ago on the first couple of days of my pre-op diet. On day 4 I felt MUCH better. Tonight, I am truly crabving sweets. It's time for my sugar free Jello. One day at a time.

But on the whole doing well Im sorry about the pain. That's a big worry of mine as well. I go under this Tuesday. I asked our dietician if anyone has buyers remorse. She said yes, everyone does! She quickly added that everyone changes their minds by about two weeks later. So you're right to think that and feel that. I hope and pray you feel better sooner than two weeks from now. I hope and pray we all do too. 1 I'm losing it! reacted to this
