Crying all day

Recommended Posts

I'm struggling so much lately and I'm so frustrated! I've lost & gained the same 2 lbs for 6weeks. To make it worse my husband came home with Jelly doughnuts from Dublin doughnuts! I know my family cane eat what they want & they are always thoughtful about foods they bring in , and they are so supportive, but I guess because I'm going through my own thing not loosing, I actually sat on the bed & cried like a small child, I wanted to sit & eat & say screw this whole thing! I'm just having such problems family, emotional, financial that I just want to give up. Not to mention my RA & FIBRO is flaring up I'm in so much pain I just want to give up. Thanks for listening peace, Mary

Mary how many weeks post op are you and where do you live.

I ask about your location because I am in the DFW Texas area and I am in the middle of a bad RA flare.

Take a deep breath. ...we all go through stalls ..I actually have one every other week. ..don't dwell on the 2 lbs you've gained...focus on the total weight you have lost..emotions are normal. ..just sit back and instead of saying "I can't eat that doughnut"..say to yourself " I don't want or need that doughnut"..trust me temptation is everywhere we just need to have self control and think of that reason why we did this in the first place!

MaryMcgr62. Don't give up, i've been going through a lot of the same problems. I have constant nausea and vomiting. Been back to the hospital 5 times. I look at food when I'm hungry and I can't eat cause the nausea prevails. I've had to have IV fluids for dehydration.

Now I'm doing better eating food and not vomiting.. Don't give up I lost 87 lbs. since May 1st. I wanted to give up, but I keep losing weight and it feels so rewarding. I have a sister that eats whatever she wants and weighs much more than me and when we're together it

Disgust me how much she eats. It deters me from eating.

I get no support from my mom or sister. However my brrother and sister in law support me.

For now I'm eating and holding it down. That's why I had this surgery. Have faith it will work out..Good luck.

I understand how you feel I went through the same but I ended up in the hospital 5 times. It wasn't fun the vomiting and nausea are horrendous . But it does get better I lost 154 lbs and I'm happy with the progress. You will feel better about yourself. The surgical group I have use support groups for 5 yrs.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
