Everyone is different, your body is still adjusting.. stick with your eating plan that your surgeon provided, exercise and Portion Control. If you do all there the wight will come off - some of us are slower than other including me !!! I'm a major slow loser.

Its probably because you lost 17 lbs right before surgery and then another 8, your body is just in shock to the loss...I am 31/2 wks out and ive only lost 15 lbs with a 10 day stall in the middle, so i am super slow too....dont worry, your prob at a stall and then it will start coming off again....

I'm in the same boat. Lost 10 lbs the first week, then nothing till 2 days ago. I'm one month out today. I was told to not worry our bodies are in what the heck did you do to me point. It hard not to be disappointed, but my family tell me to remember to give the body time to adjust. Chin up.

Try thinking of it this way - there is absolutely no doubt that as long as you follow the protocol as closely to the letter as you possibly can and stay active, you will lose weight. The laws of science and the universe cannot be denied. Sometimes you'll lose slowly. Sometimes you'll lose quickly. Sometimes you won't lose at all. But your plan of action is the same in all three cases. Follow the protocol and stay active. And of course I personally would add maintain a food log!

Your goal is physical change but your challenge is mental discipline. You cannot directly control the path your weight loss will take. You can control your thoughts. Stay positive, stay patient, stay focused - persistence, along with absolute belief, can never be defeated.

You're gonna love the new you!!

I'm almost 11 months out and was very slow for the first month or two. I had a huge drop of weight over a two week span around 9 months. Everyone is different. Just stick to it and I KNOW it is soooo hard, but stay patient. Love yourself and don't allow yourself to get discouraged. This is kinda cheesy and I've never told anyone this until now, but the song "I won't give up" by Jason mraz- I used to sing it to myself, sometimes looking in the mirror. Read the words and think about it ????

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
