It is normal - your inside stitches are pulling a little. I had this pain for a full month with bouts of it getting worse then better. I went dancing last night and have very mild pulling today. It's your body healing. Take it easy ad I would use a hearing pad and that helped. I am 6 weeks out now. Hang in there is gets better.

I forgot to mention that when I took a walk it did help receive the pulling a little - just a short one around the block or even half way if you can. I actually did have a follow up with the doctor and asked him and he said its the healing. It does hurt pretty bad sometimes - just rest!!! Good luck on your journey!!

My back was killing me!!! I think it's because your core has been altered and is not supporting your back right now. The first three weeks my back just ached. But it will get better - I had great days and then some not so good but your healing. The pain does stop so hang in there. It is all worth it!!

My back has been hurting a bit too. I think it's because I'm afraid to stretch too much. One weird thing I have is some soreness on my right side even though all of my incisions are to the left.

I had to take mines every 4 hours as well. My left side was a killer for me. Also i developed a hard mass behind my left wound. Doctor told me it was tissue and not to worry. Just wanted to let you know if you get something hard over there as well because I was freaking out in the beginning :-)

I take one pain pill twice a day if I'm in a vehicle but sometimes just one before bed. I've always liked sleeping on my sides but I'm still too sore, so my back it is.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
