Any Band converters under........

Recommended Posts

I had my band removed after two had been placed wrong in two months. I got the bypass dec 31. I haven't really experienced a slow loss but I think it has to do with the amount I have to lose. It's that way most times with any weight loss. The more you have to lose the faster it comes off In The beginning. In the end we will all end up where we want to be. Have a great day everyone. And smile big.

I cant say I was under 220 before the band to bypass revision but I am diabetic, or I was and if you are, its really the way to go I believe. I am 3.5 weeks out and I am 23 pounds down. My diabetes has gone into remission since 2 days after my surgery. and if you are worried about losing too much, you're in control of your caloric input really. good luck and look forward to insulin free days!

Hi I had lap band done in 2003 I weighed 220 I am 5'6 with type two diabetes, high bp,hypothyroidism. My lowest weight was 165. I was so tight I could not eat and the reflux was so bad. I was unfilled and filled we played this came for a while. In 2012 I was back to 200lbs I had the band removed, the doctor plicated my stomach, saying it will help the Gerd, and reflux it did not, and no weight loss.My A1C is back up to 7.. I had Endoscope last Friday, he told me that he will do the rny, I am scheduled for June 25,2014. I am 49 and a little scared, this my story.

Good luck with your rny! I am now more than 5 weeks out and I know it will be a life long change but already revision of band to bypass was best decision of my life. My diabetes was gone from 2 days after surgery. That alone makes it worth the surgery and worth avoiding sweets again.
