BCBS recognizes Lap Band efficacy (TEC assessment)

A recent TEC assessment recognizes the benefits of the Lap Band when compared with gastric bypass.

TEC (Technology Assessment Center) was founded by BCBS to evaluate new technologies in medicine. This is a non binding assessment that does not require any individual BCBS carrier provides coverage for a particular procedure, however one would think that it would make such coverge more likely.
