I am having the worst gout attack of ny life. I have had it before and it was always in my big toe. This time it is my entire foot from the ankle down. I am in so much pain and can't take anything. I haven't slept in two days. Im trying to drink a lot of Water but even that isn't working as I'm hardly peeing at all. On top of all of that I am so constipated I can hardly stand the pain anymore. I have no appetite and haven't eaten since the foot flared on Saturday.

I just had to rant. :( it's better than the crying I can't stop.

I feel you pain. Gout is the worst pain I have ever had in my life. And I had my foot ripped apart when I was 21 by a shark. Gout pain is worse. Call you doc. Maybe they will order some pain meds. Mine usually does.

I feel so bad for you, I never had gout (thankfully), but watched my Grandmother suffer through it. I have chronic RA to the point that I'm disabled & take Morphine & Methadone for it & it hardly touches the pain , the pain killers cause Constipation big time sometimes I only go 2x a month , Now I use Miramax I mix it in all my drinks & it'd really works no cramping or anything like you can get with some laxatives.. I would DEFINITELY call your MD, it's not good not urinating especially when your drinking extra liquids, & he probably will give you something to be more comfortable. You can end up being dehydrated which can be very dangerous, please don't wait call today, Your friend in weight loss, Mary

It usually starts in the middle of the night. Toe (or whatever joint affected) feels broken. It gets red and nothing helps the pain. :(

Drink lots of Water. I wouldn't wish it on my enemies.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
