I'm not too far out, I just had my surgery last Tuesday. However, my incision keeps bleeding. It's not that dramatic, it's not that dramatic but over the course of a day or a night, I get a stain that's probably about... 1/2 tablespoon of plasma and blood, especially at the bottom of the incision. Is this normal? I checked my discharge papers but it just says that it shouldn't be "excessive" which is not all that helpful. It doesn't look infected; I just want to make sure this is normal.

Sounds normal, but if you are worried call you doc!

It's normal for some wounds to weep for a bit. Keep it covered with a gauze but don't try to block the flow with tape or a band aid. Try your best to keep it dry and clean. If it doesn't stop after a week or if the Fluid turns thick, changes colors, or begins to smell funny call your doctor. Those three things are signs of a possible infection.
