Suzi'nTexas 0 Posted September 16, 2013 I'm in Austin. I just moved up here. Surgery date is October 21st. Nervous. I'm here <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />. Hi Stacy. I am Just north of Austin in Georgetown. Your surgery is very soon! I understand the anxiety. Where will you be having it? I have just begun the process. In the midst of waiting for insurance approval. I want to get on with this. if approved, My surgery will be at St David's in Austin. How long did it take you to get to the point where you are now? It seems to vary. How long before the onset of the process until getting your actual date of surgery. We gotta' hang in there and become BIG LOSERS. Never thought I would aspire to be a big loser. ???? Blessings to you,..Suzi Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

music1618 879 Posted September 19, 2013 Thank you so much. I am scheduled to get a chest x ray and an upper gi test. Kinda nervous about that gi test. Does it hurt? Do they put you to sleep? You are put to sleep during the upper GI. No pain at all. Just a nice deep sleep! Everything takes a couple of hours and you will be home. You are able to resume normal activities that day.
