SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted August 7, 2013 I stop and pee 20 times on the way to my surgeon and I don't drink for several hours before. I do NOT recommend this!!! I just can't seem to help myself. DLCoggin 1,788 Posted August 7, 2013 I think everyone shares your pain - sorta. My doctor's scale is consistently six pounds over my early am weight at home. But when you think about it - so what? It's not the number that counts, it's the direction it's moving in and how far it's moving that counts. Heck, I don't even take my shoes off! Why bother? As long as you either NEVER take your shoes off, or you ALWAYS take your shoes off, the scale (home or doctor's office) will reflect the CHANGE in your weight from the last time you weighed. My log shows that I've lost 130 lbs. My doctor's chart shows that I've lost 130 lbs. The fact that my log shows that I weigh 155 and her chart shows that I weigh 161 - totally irrelevant! You're gonna love the new you!! 2 karlam29 and Ammariehs mommy reacted to this

You're gonna love the new you!! I guess it matters to me now because I'm trying to get my second appointment. After the surgery as long as I hit my goal I don't think I'm really going to care about the scale. At home I'm 3 pounds away from my goal(naked and first thing in the morning lol) but at then doctors I'm still 10 pounds out. I was hoping to hit my goal Friday but I don't think I'm going to hit it. Maybe next Friday. I'm just ready to start my new life. Ready to get this show on the road!!

So, whatever weight goal your doctor gives you, subtract six pounds (assuming that's the difference you see between your scale and theirs) and that's your home scale goal. No more "surprises"! Then again they will probably want their scales weight since that's they one I started on. Uggh just so annoyed already!! Ready to get things moving. I feel like I'm at the starting line and I'm stuck here.

I so hope to be able to just go and weigh and not get all OCD about this stuff some day!!!! I did the same thing pre op. All my appointments were in the afternoon so I wouldnt eat or drink beforehand just to make sure I was down in weight. Not a good practice for sure! Now I dont worry. If the weight comes off slowly thats ok. At least its coming off! 1 Ammariehs mommy reacted to this
