ElleG 394 Posted August 5, 2013 I'm a little over 4 months post op and I'm still tired. Where is my burst of energy? I chew my Vitamins daily, I'm getting my Protein in and I can't stay out of the bed. All I want to do is sleep. I thought by now I would be working out more on the go more enjoying more. I have no motivation to get up... I just wanna sleep! Is anyone else out there going through this?
Jacqueline K 93 Posted August 5, 2013 I am just over 2 months post op and I'm still tired a lot too. I do notice some more energy during the day I guess but I go to bed so early and sleep like 10-12 hours! Not sure if that's normal or not. All my Vitamin levels are fine- just had labs last week. kjrny2013 33 Posted August 5, 2013 I am 4 months post op and tired most of the time too. Getting up at 4:30 a.m. has a lot to do with me being tired though. Once in a while I feel energetic, but not very often.
moniquesgettingft 9 Posted August 5, 2013 I had a burst of energy a month after surgery ( May 2,2013) and now not at all!! Got my labs back and found out my Iron was very low. Started taking iron ( even though my multi has 19 mg) with a Vit C twice daily 2 days ago so we will see when this will kick in.
ElleG 394 Posted August 5, 2013 Yikes! I was thinking when I was healed and started losing I would have more energy. NOT! Lol. All I want to do is sleep. My labs r great. My doc says it will get better. I'm still waiting. Lol
tbaby 27 Posted August 6, 2013 I'm 4 months out. 91 pounds lighter. Don't get enough Protein only about 50g daily. Vitamin d an Iron really low. And I don't have energy. I'm tire all the time. I don't exercise bc I don't have the energy. What in the world is going on. I'm at a stall in wt loss too. I've been 90 pounds lost for a month now. ArmyOfMe 82 Posted August 6, 2013 Glad I found the Sleepy Group because I sure fit in. 2+ months out and I could hug a bear during winter time and catch some zzzZzzzzz snuggled next to him. Yeah ... That energy burst must have passed me by 50 light years at ludicrous speed.

ajustice 484 Posted August 8, 2013 I have wondered myself if it was just me. I have good days where I feel awesome and can get things done and moving like normal at work up and down the hall with patients and then days where I can barely get off the couch. My sleep is sporadic and I struggle with insomnia. I keep waiting for that energy too. Thought losing weight would help that along. I struggle sometimes getting work and home all done.
