I'm over 12 months post up. I notice I can't eat rice anymore. It makes me vomit. I thought it was white rice. Then I made rice with peas my favorite Vomit again made it a second time vomit. Was at my son appt feed them Spanish food rice & chicken. I felt like I ate a bomb. It's official I can't eat rice anymore. Can't eat pork neither. Guess what I can eat eggs again :) I would do anything to eat rice & not eggs. Anyone that's over 12 months were you able to eat rice before & all the sudden your tummy can't handle it. I will never get fat again. Rice was my favorite food. Potato & chicken & occasionally bread is what I can eat plus fruits & Snacks. I love fish but can't handle too much shrimp.

All those things are made with white rice aren't they? I was told I should never eat white rice, white Pasta, white bread, or white potatoes ever again. Have you tried brown rice, wild rice, or other grains?

I can't do anything that's rice-y or bready.

What I've been doing is shredding cauliflower and sauteing it, and it tastes just like fried rice.

Yes they are made with white rice.

I haven't had brown rice.

I don't know if you'll tolerate it better but it's worth a try if you love rice. Brown rice takes longer to cook and is supposed to be better for you.

I'm 14 months post op. I can't do rice either. Or bread unless it's toasted. I've tried brown rice. No go. Ironic thing though, I can eat small quantities if FRIED rice! Lol!!! Perhaps the oil helps it slide down. Not really a good thing though!

I tried it and didnt like it at all. I found it really bitter. My friend told me to try again and gave me some recipes. She lives on quinoa. I threw out the box I had so will have to get more to try again!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
