sgrennan 7 Posted February 22, 2007 Hello, My name is Stacy ,and finally after all the ins. stuff I get to have my band on Mrach 6th. Im really happy, but today I went and did my blood work at the hospital, and the nerves kind of sat in. Iv never been put to sleep, Only 2 c- sections. Does anyone know how the pain is compared to a c- section? Just the thought of haveing the tube down my throat really gets me. Has anyone ever come out with nasel trumpets after surgery. Those are tubes that are placed in your nose and down your throat to keep the airway opened. My dad has sleep apnia and when has anything done he wakes up with them. Any way you would think i would be more worried about other things like the liquid diet and such. Also I had only planned on taking off one week of work, Im a Hairdresser, Do you think that is enough time . After the sections i was fine after one week. Thanks for all the great info. TracyinKS 7 Posted February 22, 2007 C-Sections are major surgery! You should be fine! Welcome
niecyrenee 2 Posted February 23, 2007 I have never had any other surgeries so I don't have anything to compare it with but for me, it wasn't bad. I never took a pain pill and never felt I needed one. The gas pain was the only "pain" I exprienced. I work in conservation and I took one week off from work and honestly, I could have went back beforehand. I would think that one week would be fine but everyone is different. If you were fine a week after your c-sections, I think you will fine here too. Good luck! Let us know how everything goes!
