TEXUN1 0 Posted February 22, 2007 Hi, I so excited to have made the committment. I have my first apt on March 1st with Dr. Wade Barker in Dallas. I live north of Dallas in Prosper. I have so many questions that I dont' know wherere to start. This forum is great and has answered a lot of my questions. I feel like you all are a family and truly care about one another. WOW! what support. For once, with all the diets and so forth that I have tried over the years my DH of 30 yers is on board with me. This is going to be greatness. Anyway, good luck to everyone. heartsmile4_1 0 Posted February 27, 2007 Texun1 my insurace is United HealthCare. I am on the PPO, so I was able to choose my physician.
TEXUN1 0 Posted February 28, 2007 heartsmile4, I have BCBS PPO,and can go to anyone, but was concerned with the out of pocket expense. Since with BCBS he is considered out of network. Do you mind sharing what that has been? I think you have made a good choice. I personally know people he have used him.

HelenC 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Hello from Quinlan! I was banded on 2/14 by Dr. Richard Benavides in Richardson. I have BCBS of Illinois and my surgery (and fills) are covered at 100% after deductible. But we have seen that the various Blues do pretty much what they want to Good luck to you! wlgbean 0 Posted February 28, 2007 hi fellow north texans...this is my 3rd day post op...and i am feeling pretty good. i havent had the nausea that some people post about...i do however feel that i have a lump of food caught in my chest thats been there since i woke up from surgery. i guess its the port or the band or something. that and the pain under my left shoulder blade are really the only complaints i have. HelenC 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Walking and some Gas-X strips will help that left shoulder pain. Glad you're doing well!
HelenC 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Hey Helen, I know how excited you must be. Let us know how you are doin? I'm doing ok, other than I'm still having a tough time with the port incision. It's not infected, it's just really sore. I'm hoping this is something that will pass soon. Other than that, I'm just trying to find my way through what foods to eat and trying to get myself on a meal schedule. I started eating mushy foods a week earlier than my doc said to, but I was starving. I have good restriction in the morning but by noon, I feel like I'm wide open! My first fill isn't until 3/15. I'm excited for all of you going through this now!!
Steph030107 0 Posted February 28, 2007 I live in Dallas and am having my surgery tomorrow March 1st. Can't wait to lose some weight before summer. I want to lose 73 lbs. I have a trip planned late May to Jamaica and would love to be 20 lbs lighter by then..... Everything I do I say this will be the last time I have the Company annual meeting and weigh this much next year I will be thinner.... I am looking forward to shopping in the stores that are not for plus size..... Good luck to everyone!
