BowlingHooker 60 Posted July 30, 2013 I'm eating some shrimp egg foo young today. With the gravy and eating one ounce at a time, I think the pouch will accept it. Will sprinkle some unflavored Protein Powder on it also so with the Protein from egg and shrimp and protein powder, sounds like a nice protein filled meal!!!!! sgc324 4 Posted July 30, 2013 Good for you! Hope that you are doing well with your surgery. It's amazing that you are able to eat 2 weeks post op and lots of luck with that. I have to wait a while for my revision surgery and I am petrified of having it. I just do not want to give up sugar in my coffee (because I am allergic to the artificial sweetners) and the eating and drinking. Hopefully, your acid reflux is now non existent from what I hear about this surgery! Best wishes to you always. Stephen
renee 51 Posted July 30, 2013 I had Chinese food last night! Beef and broccoli with sauce on the side. Went down very well, and totally hit the spot! I am 4 weeks post-op. I think I'm going to eat the leftovers for lunch in a few minutes!
BBdoodle 483 Posted July 30, 2013 Egg foo young is LOADED with fat and fried in oil ... most Chinese foods are loaded with fats and oils unless you get the steamed healthy kind. I stay far, far away from Chinese way, way too many calories. 1 hawzenk reacted to this

Those are the kinds of foods I ate that got me to my heaviest weight. I will stay away.

I did find a recipe for crab Rangoon dip that's made with light cream cheese. And you can baked the wonton skins. So it won't be as bad but definitely will be a special occasion food. 2 cemmons and sable334 reacted to this

shouser531 9 Posted January 11, 2014 I absolutely can not tolerate any type of Chinese food and it used to be my absolute favorite. After two horrible experiences with it, I don't miss it or crave it at all.
