But the closer it gets the more nervous i become people in my family just dont understand i have used food as my comfort my whole life now i cant as well 2 weeks without food is making me freak out does anyone feel the same way? I've been a little edgy today about that. My surg is tomorrow and Im slightly panicking that I'm not going to be able to eat. I didn't have a two week pre op diet. My no eating started at 5 this evening and I just keep thinking of all the foods I can't have...it makes me sad. I'm determined to do it though. Guess we gotta think of the benefits when it's all over!

XXLnomore 51 Posted July 29, 2013 I keep tellin myself the same thing i start my diet on the 6th an yea im stressin bout it food is such a big part of our lives and to not have it anymore is very hard. I had to stop eating at 5 today....I ate a Baby Ruth at 4. LOL. Had to get my final sugar in! When I REALLY want something, I get on here and read people's forums and things. Keeps me motivated. 1 DLCoggin reacted to this

SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted July 29, 2013 Thanks i know i can i have 4 reasons to do this they call me mom If anything that makes it more scary 2 nights before surgery I spent the entire night bawling and writing the worlds longest letter to my 8 year old (in case I died and couldn't tell him everything I wanted to). Drama much???? 1 GG'sArtsMom reacted to this
XXLnomore 51 Posted July 29, 2013 If anything that makes it more scary 2 nights before surgery I spent the entire night bawling and writing the worlds longest letter to my 8 year old (in case I died and couldn't tell him everything I wanted to). Drama much???? I haven't told anybody that but that's my one fear about this! I have a 5 yr old son who's "father" is in prison. I'm all he has. Such a scary thought. But, it'll make me healthier and more active. I just want to get past tomorrow! I'll probably stay up and watch him sleep tonight.
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted July 29, 2013 My ex and I separated when my son was 5 days old, then the ex went to prison, then the ex died....we had no contact with him since my boy was 5 days old so truly, I'm all he has as well. I know my parents would always take care of him and love him to death but I just kept thinking of him having no parent at all...and yeah I watched him sleep a lot the night before surgery . You're a mom, we worry, it's what we do. But yes, I am for sure a more involved and more active mom now, it's easy when you feel so good!!!!! And he LOVES that I can do so much with him now. 1 DLCoggin reacted to this

He's so excited though....said he's ready to go play outside with me! It'll be worth it: just have to get through it! 1 DLCoggin reacted to this

He's so excited though....said he's ready to go play outside with me! It'll be worth it: just have to get through it! Connor is my biggest cheerleader. He hugged me while I was getting ready for work this morning and told me how proud he was of me for working so hard and losing so much weight. I swear he's a grown up in a 9 (he was 5 when i had my lap band and 8 when i had my rny) year olds body . I'm sitting here at soccer practice, hot as HELL!!!' But I'm not that parent over in my car with the a/c on missing it all, (and there are a bunch of them!!! It's a 3 hour practice, over 90 degrees and super humid) out here sweating like a pig but catching every second of it. You'll be fine and be amazed how much better you feel! I'm down just over 50 from surgery but 108 from my highest. My kiddo weighs 100 lbs...I cannot imagine how I drug all that around on me all those years! No freakin wonder I was so tired all the time! I'm always good for a pep talk if ya need anything!!! 3 DLCoggin, Anniesmom12 and XXLnomore reacted to this
Pam Peltz 56 Posted July 30, 2013 Don't think about what you can "never" have again. Those are very few. I can eat most anything I want. Somethings I can only enjoy a taste of, others I can have a regular serving of. It's just a matter of time and you will be SHOCKED that you don't even want those other things. (If you do, a taste is enough to get through the craving). It is amazing how your tastes change. YOU CAN GET THROUGH IT AND COME OUT THE OTHER SIDE STRONGER AND SLIMMER AND MORE CONFIDENT!! 1 DLCoggin reacted to this
shershrinking 53 Posted July 30, 2013 Hang in there Sami you can do this! i have been freaking out off and on, one thing that really helped me was people say "in two years you probably will be able to eat anything, but if you have followed the rules you will have trained yourself to eat healthier foods in smaller proportions, " so hold on tight, we are gonna have a two year adventure! 1 DLCoggin reacted to this
