I haven't had any since surgery. I was going to have a cup last night because I was a bit short on protein...but then I looked at nutrition facts and it said 15g sugar?

I drink 1% because the stats are much better for you and it has the 1% of milk fat to help the nutrients in it to absorb (no fat, no absorption). Be careful trying it at first though because a lot of GBP peeps end up lactose intolerant and find themselves in the potty shortly after drinking. Lol

That was the 1% 1 cup 120 cal 2.5g fat. 15g sugar 10g Protein

No (cow) milk since surgey. I do unsweetened almond milk

Not really, I didn't drink it that much before surgery because of a lactose intolerance. So far I don't think I'm intolerant anymore (kinda weird but stranger things have happened with this surgery) but I'm good without it. I use it in Cereal and oatmeal but that's about it.

I drink skim milk and don't have any problems with it. I drink a cup every morning, with my Vitamins.< /p>

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
